E-Dirham G2 System Services

The new e-Dirham system offers a wide range of services including the following:

  • A Comprehensive Payment System for Prepaid Cards and Credit Cards
  • EFTPOS: Payment via counter
  • EIPG: Online Payment and eCommerce

 

Comprehensive Payment System for Prepaid Cards and Credit Cards

Payment for service fees for e-Dirham G2 subscribed entities is not limited to e-Dirham G2 cards. The system will accept payments through any Visa or MasterCard via Points of Sale Terminals (EFTPOS) and the Internet (EIPG).*

 

Electronic Funds Transfer Point of Sale (EFTPOS)

Payments for purchases and e-Dirham card reloads can be made through new e-Dirham electronic collection machines (EFTPOS) that are in line with latest international networks. These machines will accept payments through any Visa or MasterCard in addition to the e-Dirham G2 cards. *

 

EIPG: Online Payment & e-Commerce

Payments can be made via the internet with highest protection and security levels through the e- Dirham G2 payment gateway. Payments through any Visa or MasterCard will be accepted in addition to the e-Dirham G2 cards. *

 

What is e-Direct?

e-Direct gives end-users the ability to directly charge their Bank Accounts to Top-up their G2 Cards, and gives them the ability to do that from anywhere during any time of the day via eDirham Website.

It is undoubtedly a significant advance and upgrade for the E-Dirham system to facilitate and support the client for doing online service. The active on boarded banks are the following and the other will be followed based on their readiness.

  • Emirates NBD
  • Dubai Islamic
  • Standard Chartered
  • Citi bank
  • Emirates Islamic
Fees:
  • 7 AED charge fees
Dispute:

There would be no FAB disputes as FAB is not a participating bank yet. Hence, in case of any dispute; the client has to refer back to the issuer bank regarding the same.

 

What is eDebit ?

It is new payment method that will be added to eDirham and enabled for Merchants that offer services over the web payments and it is undoubtedly a significant advance and upgrade for the E-Dirham system to facilitate and support the client for doing online service.

e-Debit gives end-users the ability to directly debit their Bank Accounts when paying for e-services, and gives them the ability to do that from anywhere they can access the merchant website Application from during any time of the day with the utilization of the Central Bank Payment Gateway which is connected to all the Local Banks’ online banking systems.

Fees:
  • 10 AED charge fees.
Dispute:

There would be no FAB disputes as FAB is not a participating bank yet. Hence, in case of any dispute; the client has to refer back to the issuer bank regarding the same.

 

What is ED Kiosk?

  • eD-Kiosks are self-service machines in a form of autonomous stand-alone units, equipped with specific electronic devices of eDirham system, that allows users to purchase eDirham cards (Blue and red cards only), activating them, load and reload, inquire about the available card balance, obtain information about transactions, purchase eD-Vouchers and other functions the user can carry on himself.
  • The eD-kiosk initiative is undoubtedly a significant advance and upgrade for the eDirham system to facilitate and support the remarkable increase in electronic transactions.
  • eD-Kiosk machines are highly secured kiosks with security cameras and advanced Security Requirements.
  • eD-Kiosk comprises many components to manage, control and monitor including user’s identification documents verifications, safety and security systems, cash/coin acceptors/dispensers, eDirham cards dispenser, receipt printers .
  • The Kiosks will be bilingual (the screens will be in both Arabic and English). The language will be chosen by the customer.
  • Terms and Conditions will be shown to the customer on eDkiosk services for his/her review and confirmation before proceeding with the service.

 

Reload Fees:

  • 2 AED charge fees

 

Features:

  • Card Dispensing (Card Sale/Activation):
    • Cards should be activated once dispensed with zero value. Payment can be made by Cash Only with maximum amount of 100 AED
  • Load /reload eDirham cards :
    • Each kiosk will be considered as terminal with dedicated Terminal ID.
    • Payment can be made by Cash only.
    • All eDirham cards Load/Reload capabilities will be in line with the current eDirham card setup.
    • The client shouldn’t insert Torn, soiled or damaged notes.
    • Notes to be free of pins and up to 40 notes at once.

 

Purchase eDVoucher:

eDVoucher is Plastic-Less PLC Card as it is a one-time use payment method. eD-Vouchers can be requested from Kiosks as Fixed, Pre-Defined for specific services.

 

Access to eDirham Card Services:

  • Mini statement: the customer can review his/her card balance and last 10 transactions.
  • Set/change the passcode for eDirham Card.
  • Balance inquiry.

 

Helpdesk:

  • Client can create incident /provide feedback through the kiosk into eDirham Helpdesk System.

 

* Using non e-Dirham cards will subject you to higher e-Dirham charges.
